5 Things I’ve Already Learned About Marriage
From a Newlywed
By Grace K. Bianco
“That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
I have been married for eight months. The thing about reading my posts on marriage is I am taking you on the journey of growth and learning as it is happening. So many of my stories, I have either already lived through or have been living through for many years. And as we see, that’s just not the case for marriage.
I listen to what people and the church have to say about marriage a lot. I read books and articles on it. No amount of research/advice fully prepares you for what you will learn on your own.
I’m new to this, and this is from MY experience. Without further ado, let me tell you FIVE things I have learned about marriage so far.
1. Adapt to your partner.
I have said this in many blogs referring to many different topics, but this is a post where it really fits… We are not all wired the same!! Meaning that each of us are uniquely designed to feel and see things in our own way. This doesn’t mean that you and your spouse won’t have any similarities, but it is to remind you that there will be MANY differences.
