5 Ways To Cope With Anxiety
From : The Master Worrier
By Grace K. Bianco
Whether to two people or a hundred people, I will always do my best to spread encouragement.
Hi, I am Grace, aka The Master Worrier. My dad used to call me that when I was younger, and I always thought it was funny. It’s the only thing I have ever been called a “master” at. And before anyone thinks my dad was awful, he wasn’t / isn’t. My dad has a very dry sense of humor. Everything that comes out of his mouth has to be taken with a handful of salt.
Anyways, I have struggled with anxiety since I was four. I am now twenty-one. I still very much deal with it, but I have made so much progress over the years. I have accepted that this struggle could very well be lifelong, but I never give up hope that one day it will not hurt as bad.
I feel like I am pretty qualified to give you all advice on how to cope. I will say I have never been to therapy nor taken any medication. Coping mechanisms are the only things that help to keep on going.
Each mechanism will be put in a “level” depending on how severe you feel. I will say all the coping mechanisms are important, and many are great whether you feel your absolute worst or just not the best.
