A great question to think on!

I think this is why I love wedding vows so much. We promise to be there through the good and bad. It's just a matter of taking those vows seriously. We make those promises through God, and nothing should be able to separate that kind of promise/love.

"So, they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate."-Matthew 19:16 (ESV)
