Aren’t Pets Supposed To Help With Stress?

If Ghost was yours, what would you do?

This is my most recent photo of Ghost. I post book reviews on my second account on IG, gracekbianco_writes. Ghost makes a lot of appearances on that account as well. 🖤

I have a black cat that will be one in September.

His name is Ghost. I found him at the beginning of October running around a busy street. It was only right to give him a spooky name.

I rescued him by myself. I remember shocking my friends and family. My husband was the most shocked. I hate cats, but there I was running around a busy street in the rain trying to catch a kitten.

He was so tiny that I thought it was a rat at first. When I realized, I knew I couldn’t just leave him there. What if he got hit by a car? What if some creepy person got a hold of him? We know all the warnings that are put out around Halloween… You’re not supposed to let your black cat out all of October.

With all of this in mind, I had no choice. I did have a choice whether or not to keep him though. I couldn’t make up my mind for a few weeks. He was attached to me, and I knew I could never bring myself to give him up. My husband also loves cats, and I knew he wanted to keep him.
