"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."--James 1:2-4
"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9
From a Biblical point of view, we are told to be grateful for hard times, because it is where we grow stronger. It is there that we become closest with God. If life was always easy, we would never really need God.
It's not an easy calling, but when we muster up the strength to be grateful, it definitely helps our perspective. We need the positivity to keep carrying on.
