Does Anyone Still Know How To Read?

Before I even get started, I want to make it clear that I am writing this to remind myself as well. I go through phases. Sometimes, I will read and finish a book every four days. Other times, it may take me a month to finish. I go through phases of reading the Bible and journaling every single day to twice a week.

Reading is an amazing tool that we should take advantage of. Our minds are so complex and creative that we can read a book and imagine another person’s story. But instead of opening our minds in that, we put a screen in our face, and say we don’t have time for that anymore.

As I said above, I can be guilty of all of this too.

Find Your Genre

As a Christian blogger, I find myself trying to read only nonfiction. I will read as many self help books as I can. I will read about missionaries and people’s testimonies. I read their writing to get ideas for my own.
