“Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Saturday morning, we woke up to a flooded kitchen.

Moments before, we were lying in bed in no rush to get up. My husband was the first to leave the room. He called back to me, “Uh… Something is happening out here.”

“What?? What is happening?” I said quickly getting up. “The sink is leaking,” my husband fairly calmly answered. I didn’t think it could be anything too terrible. But as soon as I walked down the hallway, my feet became soaked in cold water.

I quickly scanned the scene. What happened? When did this happen? How much of our apartment is flooded?

Water was still pouring out. So, I didn’t have time to think up any answers.

We got right down to business.

I ran around grabbing every towel we own. My husband tried to figure out the leak himself. When he knew he couldn’t fix it, he quickly began making calls.
