In another life, I would have become a Christian counselor/therapist. I am passionate about mental health, especially the intersection of mental health and faith. I love listening and encouraging those in need of it.

My writing has blessed me so much with the best of both worlds. I get to write my heart out, and it has given me countless opportunities to encourage even more people. I truly love when people reach out needing more personal encouragement. That’s why I started writing in the first place.

What I found to be more conflicting was my dating profile turning into counselling sessions. It made it hard to know where I stood with certain men, but at the same time, I never wanted to turn anyone away from getting encouragement.

Dating apps were exhausting.

I had guys mad as hornets, because I wanted to wait till marriage. Multiple messages asking me, “How far are you willing to go?” before a first date was my norm.
