I agree with this article so much. I was in a relationship that was really great right up until the end. So many people were used to us dating and being so happy that when I felt like I needed to get out some of my own FAMILY didn't understand. Fortunately, nothing super terrible happened to me, and I left him. I am now in a very happy marriage with an amazing man. But my entire perspective of others in a relationship has completely changed. I always check in and tell my friends that they can tell me if something bad is going on. I will 100% believe them. I will not be the one to tell them to make amends. If they are scared or uncomfortable, why should they stay?? I don't understand that logic.
