We all have our struggles, and this is mine.

*

I have talked a lot about mental health on here many times. I explain how anxiety feels, ways to cope, etc. I consider myself a huge mental health advocate. I will always speak for those afraid to express their feelings. I will use my writing to help those who feel like me or want to learn about the struggle. I understand how isolating it feels, and I want to do what I can to help.

I wrote an entire book, “Party Pooper: Growing up with Anxiety” (available on Amazon), that thoroughly discusses the start and progression of my anxiety. For those that would rather a quick read, this blog will be about the start of my anxiety.

The title isn’t clickbait. My sudden fear of throw up at the age of four was start of my life long fight against anxiety.

My Nightmare

I was four years old when I woke up screaming, “I hate you! I hate you!” I was soaked in sweat, and woke up to complete darkness and silence in my room. I remember hoping that no one had heard my screams.
