When does the Christmas Season Start?

I am pretty sure that 90% of America was decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving. On Halloween night, our city began to decorate for Christmas, and I believe the people followed along. I saw post after post of people in Christmas pajamas decorating their entire houses for Christmas. Every Thanksgiving post I saw on Facebook had a Christmas tree in the background.
I don’t have a problem with other people celebrating Christmas super early, but in our home, it is strictly forbidden. I prefer to wait until the second Thanksgiving is over. However, it is my husband who doesn’t tolerate Christmas before Thanksgiving at all.
However, this year, we weren’t able to go home for Thanksgiving. So, I bent the rules, but I hid it from my husband as best as I could.
