I dated an atheist for four years in high school. It was really hard for me to be with someone that didn't believe in something that my entire life has always revolved around. When I was back in the dating world, I decided it was 110% a dealbreaker for me. I tried hard in that relationship, but ultimately, strong differing beliefs come up a lot more than many would think. My husband and I have the same beliefs spiritually and politically. We can have deep discussions and help each other in our beliefs. It will only make it easier for us as parents to decide how we want to raise our children.
