I found out a few years ago about the wisemen not being there right after the birth. However, as embarrassing as this is, I just found out THIS year that there is no definite number for how many there were. 😳 I have read Matthew, Luke, and Mark multiple times, and I never picked up on this.
Your title reminded me of a funny (but inaccurate meme) that I found on Christmas:
Mary: Well, I just had a baby...in a barn. So, thanks to everyone who brought gifts. The gold, the perfumes. All things babies love. Also, the child who inexplicably played drums, like, right in my face. This... This was great. 😅
Anyway, great article! It is sweet to think that the wisemen gave the best things they could find in their hearts to give. (:
