I had an online business with my mom and sister on Etsy. I ended up stepping back, because I moved and have so much going on with my writing. I think it is a great site to start out on. It isn't super complicated to use, and so many people have great success on there. There are fees, but depending on how much you sell, the fees are pretty minimal. (:
