I know this is a really hard concept to grasp as a nonbeliever. Even as a believer, I have a hard time understanding sin. I won't get into it all. But I did want to clear up the misconception I highlighted.
It has nothing to do with the minister. The minister is simply there to dunk you under water. It is between you and God. Baptism doesn't save anyone. God does. He knows each of our hearts. If someone does it without fully believing that Christ died and rose again, that's on them not the minister or God. Everyone gets to make that decision for themselves, and only God knows what is really in someone's heart.
