I Married A Man That I Knew Could Provide

Being A Housewife In The Modern World

I give all the credit to God, because I prayed so many times for the life I have now.

My husband and I back when we bought my SUV in July 2021.

While on the topic of standards from earlier this week, I figured that I would share a very real standard that I had while in the dating world.

I read Claudia Ciobanu’s honest article on wanting a provider, and it inspired me to share my own thoughts. (She’s a great writer! Check her out if you don’t already follow her!)

I wanted a man that could provide for me, and I could take care of him. Since the time I was 2, I knew I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom one day. I refused to settle for less.

I wanted to be with someone older.

I was nineteen years old when I told my parents that I wanted to date someone older. I have always been open and honest with my parents. I tell them pretty much everything. So, this kind of conversation wasn’t out of the norm.

I remember holding my breath when I said I was going to start looking for someone 24 and up
