Okay, I say stranger, but it wasn’t an arranged marriage or anything. We met on a dating app, and exactly a year and one month later, we got married.

We didn’t bump into each other at a grocery store. Mutual friends didn’t set us up. Therefore, I feel like the title is still fitting.

My Dating Profile

I was about as blunt as one could get on a dating profile. I was almost nineteen when I first started downloading a bunch of dating apps.

I had already been in a four year relationship prior to getting on dating apps, and I wasn’t on there for any games. I was on there to find my husband. Trust me, I know. It was a bit hopeful, but hey, it worked, didn’t it?

This was usually the first photo of me on my profile

My bio was pretty much the same on every app, and it was something like this, “Hi, I am Grace! First off, I am waiting till marriage, and I’m hoping to find someone who feels the same way. I am almost always laughing and…
