I Love Being Basic

I don’t mind having “boring” interests.

I love coffee, scrunchies, blush pink, metal water bottles covered in stickers, sunsets, avocado toast and almost every other basic thing out there. I don’t love that stuff, because they are trending… I truly am just drawn to “basic” things.

I love coffee, because it tastes good and makes me happy.

I love scrunchies, because they are less damaging to my hair (+make a cute bracelet).

I love the color blush pink, because it’s perfect obviously. To be fair, my second favorite color is black.

I love metal water bottles covered in stickers, because it keeps my water cold for days. I refuse to drink room temperature water. The stickers just make it look more appealing.

I love every sunset, because I believe each one was painted by God.

I love avocado toast, but I don’t eat it much. I like sriracha over everything but the bagel seasoning. That seasoning is one basic thing I can most definitely live without.

The list could go on and on.

These days people love grouping people into a particular category. There’s a big debate on whether a baby born in 2000 is a Millennial or a Gen Z. I really don’t care, but I…
