I think it's a matter of closemindedness AND fear. I don't mind hearing others' opinions, but I am sometimes scared to share my own. I am scared for my words to be twisted and getting "cancelled." I try to keep myself from having too serious of conversations online, because people can interpret everything in so many ways. I am a chicken about it. I admire those like you that don't care and just say what they are thinking.
