I think you made a very understandable point. What he did was not okay, and it is not okay that he has no remorse for his awful actions.

As a Christian, I have to forgive no matter what, because we believe God forgives us. However, my forgiveness doesn't equal friendship. If someone hurts me, I will forgive them, but that doesn't always mean that I will let them be close. I forgive, but I don't always forget.
