I got married to my husband on January 9, 2021. It was almost exactly one year and one month after meeting each other. Fast forward nine months, here we are at the “peak” of our honeymoon phase. By now, we have already had our fair share of disagreements and have made some amazing memories.
People hear, “honeymoon phase,” and think it’s all about the happy emotions. They believe that first year is perfect. The looking over annoyances was for dating. The honeymoon phase is for feeling that deeper love while still fighting at times too. The first year of marriage is for learning.
So, here’s the truth about the honeymoon phase… The amazing and not so amazing parts.
