It’s Hard Being This Perfect

This is when I got the names, “Perfect Little Grace,” or “Miss Perfect.”

Perfectionism is one of the topics that I see a lot on Medium. So many writers seem to struggle with their own version of it, and I have come to realize just how big of a spectrum perfectionism is on.

Some think of it as overly tidy/clean, some are perfectionist writers, some are people pleasers, etc. There really are all kinds of perfectionists.

I personally fall into the goodie two shoes and people pleasing side. If I offend or upset you no matter how small, I will be wrecked for days. I simply cannot handle the slightest bit of disappointing someone else.

I feel like I have always had this tendency, but there is a very distinct part of my childhood where it very obviously developed into a real issue.
