It's so sad that the elderly are targeted with these awful scams!! Before my grandmother passed a few years ago, she had a scammer call pretending to be my brother. The scammer somehow knew my brother's name and was able to pretend to be him. He said he was in jail, and he need my grandmother to get him a couple thousand dollars. She headed to the bank immediately to get the money, but she decided to call my cousin that happens to be a lawyer. He was able to tell her this was a scam before she lost her money.
