With a brain mostly made up of water, how can we expect it to function properly when it is missing a key necessity?

I don’t drink enough water.

I forget most of the time. Other times, I don’t like forcing myself to drink if I am not dying of thirst.

I bloat very easily due to the fact that my gallbladder barely works. When I am better at drinking water throughout the day, I don’t bloat as bad or experience as much discomfort.

I am also prone to migraines. Dehydration is a sure way to get one.

On top of my physical health, I struggle with anxiety. Again, dehydration doesn’t help the brain.

Drinking water is important for any and everyone. We need it to survive.

Physical health facts on drinking water by Medical News Today:

Our bodies are made up of 60% water. Our blood is 90%. This means that when we are well hydrated our body can get oxygen to needed places at a faster rate.

If we don’t drink enough water, our skin suffers too. We may get more wrinkles and be at a higher risk for different skin disorders.

Water helps flush out waste. Our digestive system has to have water. You can think of it as a refreshing little detox.

Mental health facts on drinking water by acac:

Water energizes, helps with brain fog, and relieves body stress.

Dehydration can cause lethargy and mood swings. Those symptoms alone can’t help ones mental state.

My water bottle (: I’ve dropped it multiple times… That’s why there are paint chips around the rim lol

I am determined to create better drinking…
