Tales of a New Marriage

Grace Bianco here. I have been married for seventeen days.

We started the morning with my husband putting together our other nightstand table and me scrubbing down the bathrooms.

I spent most of the day writing and reading. I am trying to get back into the habit of reading a book a week. I stopped when I started dating my husband. Dating is quite the distraction.

Anyways, this week’s book is called “Chicken Soup for the Soul : inspiration for Writers : 101 Motivational stories for Writers — Budding or Bestselling — from books to blogs”. I LOVE it. It is such an easy read, and it motivates to keep going with my writing.

I am currently in the book of Ezekiel in the Bible. I started reading through the Bible at the end of 2018, and now, here I am still chugging along. I plan to stay on top of it. I want to finish the Bible in the next couple of months. Then, I will start over, and be better about actually understanding everything I am reading.

I wrote my daily journal entry for Medium, and I wrote my blog for the week for my website newkindofliving.com. I am a casual writer, but between my website and daily blogs, my website seems so much more formal. New kind of Living is my “brand”, and I, recently, designed my own website.

We went to the gym before dinner. We concentrated on legs and booty. Leg day is my favorite, because that’s where I actually care about gaining muscle. I am slim and have a flat stomach. Everything else I work out is just to stay toned and more defined.

I chugged my protein drink easily again, and I drank it with one of our new metal straws. I was super excited about using them. It’s the little things in life.

My husband ate some leftovers, but I am sick of leftovers. So, I ate a sandwich. I am supposed to have 2,024 calories to begin gaining weight, and my tracker doesn’t take into account me exercising. I only had 1,823.

Once I go back to work (I am a nanny) next week, I will be on a more consistent eating schedule, and should easily meet my goal. I am not going to be that hard on myself about it.

We ended the night by watching Ocean’s 8. It is one of my favorites. My husband said, “It was pretty good.” But I didn’t interrogate to find out what exactly “pretty good” means, because I get my feelings hurt by the absolute weirdest stuff. I would start defending the movie as if I was the one who wrote it.

We read a chapter from “Dear Romantic” and Genesis, and fell asleep around 1am lol.

That was my day… How was yours??

See you tomorrow! Until then, follow me on Instagram @ gracekbianco
