Tales of a New Marriage
January 30, 2021
Grace Bianco here. I have been married for twenty-two days.
We started the morning off by me jerking myself awake at 9. I gently rubbed my husband’s back. (He’s a light sleeper.) He opened one eye. I told him it was already nine.
We got up sleepily, because we had to get breakfast by 9:30. While we hurried to get dressed, my husband asked me, “how did you sleep?” I told him about how he ripped the covers off of me several times throughout the night. I, dramatically, expressed how I almost froze to death. We laughed. We think I’m pretty funny sometimes.
After getting a little grab bag (because no buffet … *cries*), we headed to our hotel room. We each ate our dry muffin. I didn’t want to eat my fruit cup.
We chilled for awhile. I checked my email, and saw that the book program I went through was doing a writers summit. A prayer answered.
I, of course, read the book I’ve been reading for awhile.
Then, we went to chick fil a. We had been given a gift card from my aunt when we got married.
We went to Walmart again to buy a card, but they were five dollars. So, we said nope. We went to dollar tree, and got one for fifty cents.
We got back to the hotel, and got ready for the wedding.
The wedding was outside, but the weather wasn’t bad. It got a lot colder towards the end though. It was a beautiful wedding, and I loved being able to celebrate another happy couple.
We ended the night just chilling on our phones in our hotel room. I made us go to bed at 11:30. We are traveling home tomorrow. Sleepiness and driving for over five hours don’t go well together.
That was my day… how was yours??
