I think we can all name one shapeshifting life event. The one incident that quite literally changed everthing.

My little incident happened when I was four years old. 90% of this life changing event happened while I was sound asleep.

In 2004, I had a dream that my older brother threw up all over me and my favorite Hello Kitty lunchbox.

I woke up screaming, “I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!” Unfortunately, it was not loud enough to wake anyone else up. I woke up too scared to tell anyone, and I managed to fall back asleep.

“When my brother threw up all over me, it jolted a reaction in me unlike any other I had ever experienced before as a child. I felt a bone-chilling fear that night. I was still too young to process that a dream is not anything to be traumatized by. All I would have need that night was for someone to tell me, ‘It was just a bad dream. It won’t happen to you.” — Party Pooper: Growing up…
