The pay was good too.

I was a child taking care of younger children.

If I am being honest, this is really the only “real” job I have ever had. This may seem like slight bias, but I am still confident that it is a good job to have. I recommend this job to just about everyone.

If you like children, do / don’t have a college degree, and want a well paying job, I highly recommend becoming a nanny. It isn’t always easy, but if you find the right family, the stress levels are pretty low.

Babysitting

Kids have always been a huge part of my life. I have always dreamed of being a stay-at-home mom one day. Since the moment I could start talking, I was asking my parents for a younger sibling. My parents did end up adopting a three year old by the time I was almost fourteen. By that point, I had already spent years upon years hoping my parents would either have or adopt a baby prior to that adoption.

To distract myself from not having a younger sibling, I started taking care of my neighbors’ children when I was around ten years old. While my neighbors were home, I would just hangout with the kids. On occasion, I would go with my older sister to babysit. I began babysitting on my own when I was eleven years old.
