I hate to say this, but I feel like my first relationship had this issue. I loved him a lot, but he always seemed way more in love with me. It took me two times before I could finally leave him. We were together four years, but I just never seemed to feel exactly what he felt. I was Christian, and he was an atheist. I think I was always trying to protect myself and couldn't fall as hard.

When it came to my husband, we both seemed on equal grounds. We knew exactly what we wanted, and we both seemed to feel the exact same way about each other. I believe that's only one part of why we work together so well.
