Tales of a New Marriage

Grace Bianco here. I have been married for fifty-three days.

My “morning” started off with me waking up a little after 12pm.

This seems to be my new sleep schedule. I fall asleep after 1am. I get up at 5am to unlock the door for when my husband gets home. I make sure I have everything together to quietly leave the room once I wake up for the day. I go back to sleep. My husband comes in the room a little after 6:30 (on the six nights he has work). We talk a little, and get comfortable. I fall back asleep until 12.

It’s a lot of sleeping and waking up, but I make myself sleep in really late. I am able to stay up later and later, and be awake more when my husband is awake.

I got ready for the day, and left for the grocery store.

I came home to put away the food, and noticed I still had some time to kill before my husband would wake up. I got back in the car to go to the library.

It was a really nice day. I sat outside typing away on my computer until my husband woke up.

We talked and hung out for a little bit.

My husband read from “Dear Romantic”, a book for newly weds, and a chapter from Genesis.

I packed his food for the night and kissed him goodbye.

It was 6pm when I threw the laundry into the washing machine.

I ate dinner and began to read some.

The washing machine was not working. It washed the clothes, but it refused to spin. I tried two times to spin the laundry. The washing machine would run for awhile, and then, beep.

I had to put the clothes into the dryer while they were dripping wet. The water was so cold and hard to ring.

I didn’t end up taking the clothes out until 11pm. I kept having to run the dryer on the highest and longest setting over and over.

I have so many stories of a simple task taking hours to get done. Luckily, I don’t have a busy schedule, and it just gives me something to do.

I was able to text my husband on his breaks. If you keep up with my blogs, you know that was a big deal the morning before.

I ended my night watching YouTube videos my best friend sent me, and I also watched Ramona and Beezus. I have no idea what made me want to watch such a random movie.

That was my day… How was yours??

See you tomorrow!! Until then, follow me on instagram @ gracekbianco for more!!
