Tales of a New Marriage

Grace Bianco here. I have been married for twenty-four days.

The morning started with me waking up at 6:15am. I wanted to get ready, and have some Bible time before work.

I, surprisingly, hopped up. “Today’s going to be a good day,” I told myself.

I got ready fairly quickly. As I was hurrying around the bathroom, my husband peeked in, “What time do you have to leave again?” “7:15” With a simple, “okay”, he shut the bathroom door.

When it was time to leave, my husband and I kissed goodbye. I knew I would miss him. I enjoy our slow mornings together. However, I was still excited to go back to work. I had been in a two-week quarantine after getting back from our honeymoon in Cancun. (I have been a nanny for the same family for 2 1/2 years. I was laid off from March of 2020 to the very end of November 2020 due to COVID-19 though.)

When I got in my car, I noticed my husband had filled up my gas tank, and that’s why he had asked when I needed to leave by. I don’t deserve him.

Since I moved in with my husband, my work commute went from a nice twenty minute backroad to a forty minute almost completely highway route. I told myself it was worth it.

Work was great. The four year old boy goes to daycare all day, but I see him for a little bit when I first get there. My job is to watch their two year old boy.

I have worked so many various hours for them over the past couple of years. We have always been flexible with each other. I started off working 24 hours a week… then 30 hours a week… then 40 hours a week for a long time. Since going back though, I only work from 8–12pm Monday-Friday.

It’s a good and well paying job. I love the boys, and their parents are most definitely the best people to work for.

When I got home from work, I hurried and got ready to go over to my parents’ for my sister’s birthday. We had to get there early, because I was going to collab with my mom and sister. I have author copies leftover from when I published, and they own a small business. They do resin art. They recently made glittery resin bookmarks.

Instead of my Amazon price of $14.99, I am selling signed copies of my book, “Party Pooper : Growing up with Anxiety” for only $11.99, AND it comes with a FREE surprise glittery resin bookmark! (Check out my instagram @ gracekbianco for more information ((; !! )

We celebrated my sister’s 22nd birthday with her favorite dinner (fish cakes and mashed potoates), gifts, some intense games of catchphrase, and a cherry chocolate cake.

When we came home, my husband wanted to play video games for a little bit. So, I chilled in our bedroom reading and watching videos on my phone. We still managed to go to bed all cuddled up at a reasonable hour.

That was my day… How was yours??

See you tomorrow!! Until then, follow me on Instagram @ gracekbianco for more
