I always go back to, "Would Jesus spank a child?" He loved children and welcomed them to Him. If one was misbehaving, would he spank or give them gentle guidance? Maybe, it is corny or inaccurate. But if we are called to be Christlike in all that we do, shouldn't we consider how Christ would lead children when we raise our own?

I have babysat and nannied for years and years. The mere thought of wanting to put a hand on a child in discipline sickened me. I can't imagine doing it to my own child.
