The Times That I Should Have Realized Santa Wasn’t Real

I was a very gullible child.

I was devastated when I found out that he wasn’t real, but to this day, Christmas still feels like a magical time.

I am taking full advantage of the fact that we are days away from Christmas. I love that I have a great excuse to write a bunch of Christmas stories this week. 🎄💚🎅

More and more Christian families seem to be turning away from Santa Claus. As much as I understand their viewpoint, I am all for Santa. I loved the real Christmas story and the magic of Santa as a child.

I fully believed in Santa. When I found out he wasn’t real, I didn’t doubt my parents’ honesty, nor did it affect my beliefs as a Christian. The only thing I took with me from all of those years is a whole lot of appreciation for my parents. They worked hard to make him believable. My parents took no credit for the amazing gifts that Santa brought. All these years later, I still appreciate them for making Christmas so magical.

Up until I was 9, I never doubted for a second whether Santa was real or not. Although, there were many times that I should have questioned it all
