I have only been on a train twice. They were both a 12 hour overnight ride through Ukraine. There was nothing to romanticize. I hated it. The first ride, I fell off the top bunk almost onto my sister on the bottom bunk. Both my brother and sister in the cart with me stayed asleep. So, I climbed back up and pretended nothing happened. 😂
