I am truly so blessed to have two amazing states to call home. ❤

I was born and raised in the upstate of SC, nowhere near the beach. I come from an amazing family, and I married into another amazing family. Both of my amazing families live 20 minutes apart in SC.

Growing up, I never saw myself living more than 30 minutes away from my hometown. I was happy and comfortable. I never once had any desire to getaway.

I never had much of a desire for a bunch of friends. I have six siblings, and I was always so close with most of them. What was the point?

Then, I married my husband. By that point, I knew we would have to move for his job, but again, I now had his family. He has six siblings as well. I am close in age with two of his sisters, and his other two sisters aren’t far off. I became even less motivated to make friends.

I had everything I needed in SC, and although I vowed to go wherever my husband went, I knew I’d miss home.
