I hesitate to talk about my marriage in any way other than an amazing light.

There are so many memes and debates about (mostly Christian) wives trashing their marriage early on. I am not talking about the harder times to trash my marriage or my husband. Being married to my husband is the best gift in the entire world. I just like talking about what I have learned so far.

According to many online, marriage isn’t supposed to be hard. (???) It blew my mind to see people suddenly go in the other direction. All I heard/saw when I was engaged was how enslaved I’d be to my husband.

In January, my husband and I will be married for two years. I will be honest it isn’t always unicorns and rainbows. The crazy thing is… Our first year was much harder than our second year. We have been through a lot, and we have loved each other harder in every season. (Read about everything that happened in our first year of marriage down below.)

In two years, we have learned so much, and with each passing day, we seem to learn more and more. We aren’t perfect, and we never will be.
