Well, It Could Have Been A Lot Worse.

I was in a nasty car accident.

My poor car — Author’s photo

I was in a car accident yesterday (Thursday afternoon). Two other trucks were involved. While my car and most likely one of the trucks were totaled, one truck only had minor damage.

The cars took the blunt of the damage, and everyone involved was able to walk away.

I wish I could say what happened. I have replayed the scene thousands of times, and I just can’t say what exactly went wrong.

I know that I was going around a sharp curve. I know that it was raining. I remember seeing a red truck coming towards me and thinking, “Something isn’t right.” I either hydroplaned or the red truck was in my lane.

If you look right under my taillight in the photo, you will see a dent. That’s when my car hit the first red truck. That made me lose complete control. Which sent me into the next truck in an almost head on collision. I lost even more control and flew back into my lane and off the road.

More of my car… My water bottle went flying around my car at some point. — Author’s photo

“Where am I?” was the only question that I kept asking. Not because of amnesia, but because I am…
