Words really do have the power to knock us down sometimes. I have been told so many hurtful things throughout my life. The one that came to mind was… Right before I got married, I went lingerie shopping with another girl. I paid $75 for a white bodysuit. I was so excited to wear it for my soon-to-be husband on our wedding night. As we walked out of the store, she turned to me and said “I’d look better in that than you. I have bigger boobs.” My heart kind of dropped, but I was used to body shaming comments by this person. So I just just shrugged it off with a sarcastic comment. Saying something like, “Those models on the walls have a similar body shape to mine.” We never talked about it again.

It’s so sad to see what others found acceptable to say to you. I hope you find more and more people to uplift you. 💗
