Yikes! It Will Be How Much?
We underestimated the cost of our renovations.
It’s been a long time since I updated you all on mine and my husband’s fixer upper. Honestly, that’s because there have been no updates.
But boy, do I have one today!
We have been talking to a contractor that was recommended to us and is local in our community. He is a super nice guy, and my husband and I both really want to work with him.
After two months of waiting, we received our quote… It is literally double (maybe even more than double) our estimate.
Yep, my eyeballs almost popped out of my head when I read it.
I am panicking.
Okay, not really, but I am overwhelmed.
My husband and I have been discussing what we will do.
Everyone that I have talked to has suggested that we get at least two more quotes. My husband doesn’t think the cost will be that different among other contractors, but I am willing to give it a shot.
We could also hire different people for each job. It would be more work, but it would save us…
