You may have read this article already, but I kind of address it here: https://medium.com/the-dove/theres-not-always-a-perfect-why-7232fb1330da
We all go through trials and tribulations. Some have it worse than others, but none of us are "safe" here on Earth. This is not our home. It isn't supposed to be comfortable. We should always be longing for something better, Heaven. Our human minds cannot understand God's reasoning behind His choices, and this is just one of the many questions without a clear answer unfortunately.
"As He went along, He saw a blind man from birth. His disciples asked Him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent me. Night is coming, when no can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world." --John 9:1-5
"So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."--2 Corinthians 4:18
