Understanding Medium’s “Rules”

I have been on here for a while.

I started taking Medium seriously in July 2021. I actually signed up for Medium in August 2020. My publisher recommended that I post my book’s introduction and a chapter excerpt. (You can read those here and here.)

When I signed up, I had no idea what Medium was, and I didn’t really care for it at the time. I had a personalized wix website for all of my blogging. (I don’t recommend this route unless you have a large social media following. It was hard to get any traffic to my site.)

When I got married in January 2021, I posted daily, but it was more of a diary series about being a newlywed. No one really read them, and I quickly stopped posting them. (I never deleted them if you have any interest in seeing where I started haha.)
