Follow-for-follow is arguably one of the biggest trends on Medium. It started around October/November when Medium changed the Partner Program rules. If you want to get paid for writing, you need at least at 100 followers.

It became a huge goal for so many. I was already a part of the program, but with only 76 followers, I was worried I would be snatched off. So, I decided to call on the Medium community for help. I wrote, “I Am Desperate For Followers. Are you?

About six months and 63 posts later, I now have 1.2k followers (blog on reaching 1,000 followers here).

This is a good time to ask, “Now, what?”

I have the followers. I am a part of the Partner Program. I am a member on Medium. I write three times a week. I respond to every comment. I read others posts. Yet, I still am seeking more engagement. What more can I do?
